Chicago Policy Review up one level

What's New

  • Starting in 2006, the Chicago Policy Review was re-born as an entirely student-focused publication. Its content will now be drawn from student work, highlighting the contributions of Harris students to policy discourse. This new format will provide students with an introduction to professional publication that will be read and judged by their peers, faculty and the Harris community.
  • The Volume 12, Summer 2008 issue of the Chicago Policy Review is now available. Order a copy.

Call for Papers

The Chicago Policy Review is a student-focused publication designed to promote discourse on public policy matters. The CPR intends to create connections among the student body (by encouraging students to produce work that will be read and judged by their peers), and is also meant to encourage connections between academic and professional spheres by allowing students to showcase their work to faculty, alumni, and potential employers. One student paper will be chosen by the CPR staff and a panel of faculty as the headlining piece of the Chicago Policy Review.

The Chicago Policy Review therefore invites submissions of original, unpublished works exploring policy issues from Harris School students.

The following is a non-exhaustive list of papers that may be submitted for consideration:

  • Research papers from class work
  • Group practica
  • Internship papers
  • Doctoral work
  • Independent student research/writing
  • Honors papers
  • Op-ed pieces

All papers are selected through a blind review process. Questions or submissions should be sent to: CJ Szafir, Editor-in-Chief, at cjszafir@uchicago.edu or Laura Williams, Executive Editor, at lwilliams@uchicago.edu.
