He will be introduced by Chicago Booth Dean Sunil Kumar.</h4> About Dan Tangherlini Long recognized for his fiscal and management leadership, Tangherlini was tapped by President Barack Obama in April 2012 to <a href="http://goo.gl/NUzBd">lead GSA in the wake of a scanda</a>l that culminated with the previous Administrator&#39;s resignation. Before joining GSA, Tangherlini was Assistant Secretary for Management, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Performance Officer at the U.S. Treasury. In these roles, Tangherlini served as the principal policy advisor on the development and execution of the budget and performance plans for Treasury and the internal management of the Treasury and its bureaus.
