In a conversation moderated by Chicago Harris Dean Colm O'Muircheartaigh, Chicago Harris alumna Erika Poethig, MPP'96, the acting assistant secretary for policy development at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Chicago Harris alumnus Rob Collinson, MPP'06, an analyst in the Office of Policy Development & Research at HUD, will offer insights into the ways in which academic research supports and shapes the urban policy development process, and specifically how the University, and Chicago as a policy laboratory, have made lasting contributions to federal urban policy.
