Chicago Harris Public Policy Lecture - Chicago
Description

The University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy invites you to the inaugural event of the Chicago Harris Public Policy Lecture series!
This first lecture features Jens Ludwig speaking on the topic of violence in Chicago. Ludwig is the McCormick Foundation Professor of Social Service Administration, Law, and Public Policy in the School of Social Service Administration and Chicago Harris. He also serves as director of the University of Chicago Crime Lab.
Ludwig will discuss the landscape and features of violence in Chicago in the context of national trends, and highlight some of the most promising approaches to addressing it. He will share some examples of the research and policy initiatives that the Crime Lab and its sister organization the Urban Education Lab are leading to identify new ways to improve conditions for youth and families in the urban neighborhoods that are most at-risk for crime and violence.
