Description

Today the social sector is surrounded by mountains of useful data, but for many individuals and organizations, uncovering the insights buried in that data can seem either too difficult or too costly.

It doesn’t have to be that way.

Readily available data tools that are free, flexible, and easy-to-use, along with helpful community resources, are making it possible for individuals and organizations to turn messy and meaningless data into beautiful and meaningful insights, without the big bucks or the PhD. All that’s needed is a little spark to help get their data fire started.

That's why we created Data Camp.

Data Camp is a day-and-a-half crash course in online and open source data tools for beginners. With the help of Chicago-area data professionals and enthusiasts, Data Campers are led through a project that introduces them to a core set of data tools to clean, manage, store, explore, analyze, and visualize almost any dataset.

Data Camp is free to students.  An RSVP is required.
