Description
The University of Chicago Harris Schoolo of Public Policy cordially invites you to the latest program in our Chicago Harris Public Policy Lecture series, featuring
Colm O'Muircheartaigh, Dean
"Using data to measure policy, with examples from a study of social life, health and sexuality of older Americans"
Dean O’Muircheartaigh will discuss his research for the National Social Life, Health, and Aging Project (NSHAP). Despite the aging of the population, little is known about the sexual behaviors and sexual function of older people. The overall goal of the National Social Life, Health, and Aging Project (NSHAP) is to study the links between health and sexuality in the lives of older Americans. Dean O’Muircheartaigh is one of the world's most
forward-thinking statisticians, with special interests in survey research methodology, sample and questionnaire design and analysis, response and nonresponse error, and data quality. His research encompasses survey sample design, measurement errors in surveys, cognitive aspects of question wording, and latent variable models for nonresponse.
