Matthew Gee

PhD Student

Matthew Gee is a PhD student at the Harris School of Public Policy Studies.  His areas of focus include computational social science, climate policy, energy use behavior, science and technology policy, housing, and program evaluation. He leads the Urban Center for Computing and Data's Energy Use and Behavior interdiciplinary working group, as well as the Transportation and Employment working group. He works at the Computation Institute, was a 2011 summer fellow at the Initiative for Computational Economics, and helps lead the Data Science Coalition. He holds a BA in Economics from Bringham Young University and an Masters from the University of Chicago. He co-founded the new Chicago Policy Review (CPR), Harris Energy Association (HEA).
