The 3rd meeting of the Dean’s International Council was held May 17-19, 2006, in Chicago. The meeting kicked-off with remarks from Dr. Maria Rosa Menocal, Professor of Spanish and Director of the Whitney Humanities Center at Yale University. Panels focused on the foreign policy of the George W. Bush administration, global religious fundamentalism, and international trade in crime. Keynote speakers included Friis Petersen, Danish ambassador to the U.S., and Neil Shubin, Professor of Biology and Anatomy at the University of Chicago.
