Harris' National Public Policy Challenge Team, led by Claire Tramm and Matt Gee and joined by Mike Roth and Julie Cooper, will present a dry-run of their upcoming pitch for the U Penn Fels NPPC in Philadelphia March 15-17.  They welcome your thoughts and feedback at this public event.

William Howell, the Sydney Stein Professor in American Politics, will discuss the various sources of institutional dysfunction in Washington. Professor Howell argues that resolving the gridlock requires meaningful reform—but not to Congress. Instead, he suggests a course of action that would consolidate and advance historical trends to a more powerful chief executive.

Jeffrey Grogger, the Irving Harris Professor in Urban Policy, will discuss findings from his research on Seguro Popular, Mexico's federal health insurance program that serves more than 50 million Mexican citizens. Professor Grogger's research examines the program's impact on healthcare spending, utilization, and outcomes since its introduction in 2003.
