Chicago Lakeside Panel

Please join us for a policy panel presentation by Chicago Harris faculty and alumni. Panelists will discuss both the academic and current research elements of a policy issue of national importance, as well as sharing the perspectives of current policy practitioners. The panel will be followed by a reception with cocktails and appetizers.

Ethan Bueno de Mesquita, Deputy Dean and Professor, Harris School of Public Policy

Chicago Harris deputy dean and professor Ethan Bueno de Mesquita speaks about political violence. Ethan is an applied game theorist whose research focuses on asymmetric conflict, including terrorism, insurgency, and rebellion. He will talk about what an exciting new wave of social scientific research has to teach us about understanding and creatively addressing critical global security challenges, including counterterrorism and counterinsurgency.
