The HarrisLink system, powered by Symplicity, is an exciting career management resource for students, alumni, and employers. HarrisLink is a comprehensive, searchable database where thousands of interesting and meaningful jobs, internships, and fellowships are posted for Harris students and alumni. New opportunities are posted daily, and students/alumni can establish ongoing searches that sort listings by geographical location, policy area, position title, or type of organization.
The database includes comprehensive listings where students and alumni can research employers, while employers can search student and alumni resumes posted within HarrisLink. We also encourage you to "opt-in" to a HarrisLink Resume Book (with an approved resume by the Careeer Development Office), as employers use this tool to identify job candidates by policy area of specialization.
Using HarrisLink as an Employer
HarrisLink offers two distinct interfaces for employers and students/alumni. To post positions within your organization, view resume books, or use a variety of additional services offered to employers, all alumni must establish a new EMPLOYER account in HarrisLink by registering from the HarrisLink employers page.
When establishing your HarrisLink Employer account, please use your employer email address (as opposed to previous UChicago or personal addresses). Please indicate in your correspondence that you are a Harris alum wanting to establish an EMPLOYER account.
Using HarrisLink as an Alum
Upon accessing HarrisLink, there are many video tutorials that provide tips on navigating the system and getting the most out of HarrisLink. If you have any questions, contact the Career Development Office or consult the FAQ. Please follow the steps below to login.
Getting Connected with HarrisLink
Alumni who are first-time users need to register with HarrisLink. Once your account is created, you will receive a confirmation email with your login information.
1.) Click on ‘For Students/Alumni’ from the HarrisLink main page.
2.) Click on ‘Register’.
3.) Complete the form and submit your information.
4.) Look in your email for an email with your username and password.
Once you have logged in, you can change your password.
1.) Click on ‘Profile’ in the top navigation bar on your homepage.
2.) Click on the “Password/Preferences” tab.
3.) Change your password.
4.) Make sure to save before exiting the page.
