WIPP Conference Fund

Conference Fund Mission Statement

The Women in Public Policy Conference Fund seeks to promote professional and academic development by providing financial assistance to students who wish to attend public policy conferences and seminars. The fund is open to all students and aims to encourage students to advance their learning of diverse public policy issues. Preference is given to conferences and seminars that address policy effects on women as well as diverse issues relating to women, such as but not limited to poverty, income security, employment, children and family and health care.

Conference Fund Guidelines

Funds are limited and contingent upon demand. Applicants are eligible to receive funds up to $250. We will attempt to meet as many worthy requests as possible within our limited budget. Funding allotted may be used toward either registration or travel fees.

Funding cannot be granted retroactively. All applications must be for conferences or seminars after the notification date for that funding cycle as described in the Request for Proposal.

Application Process

Completed applications should be submitted via email to any of the WIPP co-Chairs. Hard copies and any additional information regarding the conference or workshop such as brochures or schedules may also be dropped off in Kathi Marshall's office (130F), though the Committee prefers that the application itself also be e-mailed.
