Paul F. Boulos
Paul F. Boulos is president and director of MWH Global, one of the world's leading environmental engineering firms, with more than 7,000 employees in 35 countries and annual revenues exceeding $1.5 billion. The company has long been considered one of the world's top three experts on power, water, and wastewater issues, and has topped the ENR list in wet infrastructure for the last two years.
Dr. Boulos currently serves as president, COO, and director of MWH Soft, a multi-million-dollar engineering software company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of MWH Global. As founder and head of MWH Soft, he led the startup company to its current position as the market leader in the water and wastewater industries. The company serves more than 4,000 clients in over 60 countries, including the largest North American cities, the foremost utilities on all five continents, and most of the largest Engineering News-Record (ENR) design firms. In 2009, Dr. Boulos was also named president of MWH Middle East, with offices throughout the Middle East and North Africa, returning the division to profitability within eight months.
Dr. Boulos is also Founder, President and Chief Operating Officer of Innovyze, a leading global provider of wet infrastructure business analytics software solutions designed to meet the technological needs of water and wastewater utilities, government industries, and engineering organizations worldwide. Dr. Boulos oversees the company's worldwide operations and strategic directions.
Professionally, Dr. Boulos is one of the world's foremost experts on water resources engineering and a leading global authority on drinking water distribution engineering, from hydraulics to water quality principles. He has published prolifically, co-authoring nine authoritative books, and more than 100 scientific publications carry his name; his pioneering work on distribution systems water quality modeling has become the industry standard worldwide.
Acclaimed for his practical and scientific expertise and his extensive experience in both the academe and the corporate world, Dr. Boulos has been a keynote speaker at leading organizations in science, entrepreneurship and philanthropy, and has been featured in many business and professional magazines and newspapers. A Fellow of the American Society of civil Engineers, he has been honored by an impressive array of national and international scientific and engineering societies, government and research organizations and NGOs. Among these recognitions are technical awards for excellence in scholarship from the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Water Works Association and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Dr. Boulos received his BS, MS, and PhD in civil engineering from the University of Kentucky and a BS in general science from the Lebanese American University. He has completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard Business School as well as the Management Action Program (MAP).
