Donald M. Stewart
A visiting professor at the Harris School of Public Policy Studies from 2005-2011, Donald M. Stewart came to the Harris School after stepping down as the CEO and president of the Chicago Community Trust in January 2005. Prior to joining the Trust, Mr. Stewart was a senior program officer and special advisor to the president at the Carnegie Corporation. He is also the former President and CEO of the College Board and the former president of Spelman College.
Mr. Stewart spent several years at the University of Pennsylvania serving in numerous leadership positions. He also had many overseas assignments as a member of the Overseas Development Division of the Ford Foundation.
Mr. Stewart earned a BA from Grinnell College, an MA from Yale, and a Master of Public Administration and Doctor of Public Administration from the J.F.K. School of Government at Harvard University.
