The University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy is organizing its bi-annual meeting to enhance dialogue and collaboration on issues of international importance including global economic challenges and new opportunities during President Barack Obama's presidency. The goal of this meeting is to enhance dialogue and collaboration among university faculty, business and political leaders and the Dean's International Council.
The Dean's International Council is an international group of men and women, many with substantive experience in government and the private sector, and others who have served as advisors to governments, public commissions, and agencies. The Council engages in dialogue with senior faculty and the Dean of the Harris School and provides advice on significant public policy issues and challenges facing international leaders. This elite and diverse group gives real world input on the activities and plans of the Harris School and advises the Dean on new and important public policy initiatives from their unique perspectives.
